Who Is UnidoUS?

UnidoUS is the nation’s largest Latino civil rights organization. Janet Murguia is the President of UnidoUS, and she heavily supports Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. She, as well as the organization, heavily support legalizing abortion and increasing the minimum wage in the country.

These are just a few of the proposals that have been introduced. Essentially, UnidoUS, since 1968, has been heavily supporting Latinos in their every endeavor, and ensuring that their voices are heard. In addition, many Latinos have already come to the conclusion that President Joe Biden would be the best choice for running the country come the next election.

Do All Latinos Agree?

It is being said by the President of UnidoUS, that Latinos around the country are heavily favoring Joe Biden due to several major reasons. One reason is the anti-immigration rhetoric that Donald Trump has been spreading through his campaign. Trump mentions immediate deportation endeavors if he becomes President, and that scares millions of Latinos across the country.

However, Joe Biden has done the opposite, and instead will provide services for immigrants in any way that he is able to. Therefore, this is a major reason as to why Murguia, and her organization, are backing Joe Biden.

However, there are many obstacles that are standing in the way, and that is something that Murguia has been trying to work around. “We saw last election that very few Latino voters were actually contacted by either party or by the candidates to go out and either register to vote or vote on Election Day,” according to CBS News.

Essentially, Latinos have not bothered to vote, which can further deter their chances at re-electing Joe Biden come election day. Murguia and her organization have been doing what they could to bring in as many Latino voters as possible.

The Future Come Election Day

Election day is still several months away, and that gives people a lot of time to think about who they want to vote for. Voting is something that can shape the country in either a positive, or a negative way, which makes it a very important event to partake in.
