Hurricane Beryl Wreaks Havoc Across the Caribbean

Hurricane Beryl

What initially started off as a lower category storm, in a matter of days turned into something way more catastrophic. As of now, there have been multiple deaths and injuries reported across the entire Caribbean, as Hurricane Beryl struck devastatingly.

Additionally, as of now, it is currently in Jamaica, as it makes its way into Mexico and southern Texas by the end of the week. Therefore, it is with upmost urgency to make sure that everyone get shelter as soon as possible, especially those that still have time to prepare before the storm hits.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada Try to Recover

St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada have been trying to recover after being hit catastrophically by Hurricane Beryl. There have been flattened homes, multiple injuries and deaths, and they require help as soon as possible. “flattened houses; damaged police stations, schools and hospitals; streets strewn with the remnants of mangled and dismantled roofs, and towering swells rushing into roads and properties. They told a powerful story of panic, fear and anguish,” according to The Guardian, goes to show the amount of devastation that was left behind by Hurricane Beryl.

In addition, there have been officials that have been dispatched to help with aid and to rescue any victims that still need assistance. Unfortunately, officials are having difficulty because of the terrible conditions and the total communication blackout.

The Future of Hurricane Beryl

It is clear that something needs to be done, and quickly to ensure the citizens of these countries receive the help and the protection that they need to combat the hurricane. There is also a hope that officials are able to help everyone that they can, and that communication is able to be restored within the near future to ensure that everyone can get the help that they need.
