Amazon is rolling out a Fire TV redesign along with an updated version of the Fire TV app and premium Fire TV televisions with frame designs.
The new user interface has been updated with design changes, including varied gradients, rounded corners, increased spacing between content, and consistent typography. Navigation has been simplified at the top of the screen into categories such as Movies, TV, Live TV, Sports, and News.
The new Live TV tab collects data from the streaming services regularly used, Other features are hidden under the three-line hamburger menu icon and include Games, Art & Photos, the Appstore, Music, Video & Audio, and universal watchlist ‘My Stuff’.
Additionally, users can hold the Home button to access settings for display and audio adjustments, set a sleep timer, access smart home features, and more.
Amazon states the new rollout is “20% to 30% faster” on their most popular devices.
