Lawmakers Clash Over Compromise as Deadline Looms
A bipartisan agreement that has been unveiled with the aim of preventing a shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security has come under scathing criticism from all sides of the divide. This is an indication of the sharp divisions that exist in Congress regarding immigration policy, government spending, and presidential powers.
