BREAKING: Offender Charged With Murder

          Offender:      Ammar Houssamo, 53

                                1600 block of W. Farwell Ave

                                Chicago, Illinois

Charges:       One (1) felony count – Murder – First Degree

                       Two (2) felony counts –  AGG UPW/Person/Loaded/No FCCA

Narrative:     The above offender was arrested by members of the Chicago Police Department on May 14, 2026, at 8:09 a.m. in the 300 block of Ridge Rd. in Evanston, Illinois. He was identified as the offender who, approximately one hour earlier, fatally shot a 42-year-old male victim in the 1400 block of W. Thome Ave. (24th District). The offender was placed into custody and subsequently charged accordingly. No additional information is available at this time.
