Hungary at a Crossroads

On the contrary, Orbán has utilized the age-old appeal to the issues of national independence, immigration laws, and the current Russia-Ukraine conflict by presenting himself as the only one who can offer stability in an unstable world.
“He is running on fear and security,” one scholar said. “But the economy is becoming more and more of a concern.”

“The effects of Orban’s policies do not confine themselves to Hungary.” Orban has reached out to conservative groups in the United States and has been praised by people who supported former US President Donald Trump and his “MAGA” agenda.
These elections are expected in Washington as well as Europe since the outcome of the elections will have political ramifications on the European Union and will diminish the most significant leader of the international right-wing populist movement.
“Orban has emerged as the face of nationalism across the world,” said an international relations expert. “If he loses, that is a very strong message.”
