CPD – Community Alert – 2nd District- Attempt Murder- Aggravated Battery Firearm

This alert gives notice of a recent shooting that occurred in the Hyde Park neighborhood, located within the 2nd (Wentworth) District.

Detectives are seeking to identify the above pictured individual seen in the above photos. The individual is suspected of shooting three individuals between the ages of 18 & 19 years old males.

5500 block of S. Cornell Ave. on May 25, 2026 at 9:59 p.m. (Hyde Park)

A male black between the ages of 16-19 years of age last seen wearing a black sweater with white writing on the sleeves with blue pants/jeans, black and white gym shoes, a black ski mask, with a dark colored backpack.

·         Be aware of this crime and alert any family and friends who live in the area.

·         If video surveillance is available, save a copy of the incident for detectives.

·         Dial 9-1-1 to report suspicious activity immediately.

·         Never pursue a fleeing suspect

Esta alerta notifica sobre un reciente tiroteo ocurrido en el vecindario de Hyde Park, ubicado dentro del 2.º Distrito (Wentworth).

Los detectives buscan identificar al individuo que aparece en las fotografías mostradas arriba. Se sospecha que este individuo disparó contra tres jóvenes varones de entre 18 y 19 años de edad.

Un varón de raza Afroamericano, de entre 16 y 19 años de edad, visto por última vez vistiendo un suéter negro con inscripciones blancas en las mangas, pantalones o jeans azules, zapatillas deportivas negras con blanco, un pasamontañas negro y una mochila de color oscuro.

•Manténgase alerta ante este delito y avise a cualquier familiar o amigo que resida en la zona.

•Si dispone de videovigilancia, guarde una copia del incidente para los detectives.

•Marque el 9-1-1 para reportar cualquier actividad sospechosa de inmediato.

•Nunca persiga a un sospechoso que se da a la fuga.
