First Annual Fiestas Patrias of Greater Illinois Announces Free Community Celebration Featuring La Sonora Santanera, Almighty Blessing, Wild Card Rumble and More
ROCKFORD, IL — CRE – Chicanos Representing Empowerment is proud to announce the First Annual Fiestas Patrias of Greater Illinois, a free community celebration bringing together families, local businesses, artists, and community members to celebrate Hispanic heritage, culture, music, food, and traditions.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the Greater Illinois region. Additional event details and location information will be announced.
Fiestas Patrias of Greater Illinois is designed to create a vibrant, family-friendly experience that celebrates the diversity and cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Guests will enjoy a full day of live entertainment, cultural experiences, food, local vendors, classic cars and lowriders, and more.

“We are excited to bring this celebration to the community and create an event where families can come together to celebrate our culture, honor our traditions, and enjoy a day of music, entertainment, and unity,” said Juan Batalla, Founder of CRE – Chicanos Representing Empowerment. “Our goal is to build an annual celebration that brings people together while also creating opportunities for local businesses, artists, and community organizations.”
Free Admission and Community Opportunities
Admission to Fiestas Patrias of Greater Illinois is FREE.
In addition to live entertainment, the event will provide opportunities for community members to support local businesses and entrepreneurs. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are currently available for businesses, organizations, food vendors, artisans, and community partners interested in participating in the celebration.
Organizations and businesses interested in becoming sponsors will have the opportunity to support a major cultural and community event while connecting with attendees and demonstrating their commitment to the Greater Illinois community.
