HOUSTON – As Houston prepares to welcome the world and hosts seven matches, Mayor John Whitmire and the City of Houston Office of Emergency Management will discuss public safety preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026 ™.

DETAILS: Mayor Whitmire will be joined by City of Houston public safety, health and emergency leaders, along with representatives from the FIFA World Cup™ 2026 Houston Host Committee, Harris County and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The HEC media room will be open and available at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, for crews to set camera shots and test audio connections.
