History of This Webinar
Many have relied on this webinar as a way to impact the younger generation in several different ways. The younger generation is the key to change the world as many understand it to be. The violence, the corruption, everything can be changed within the near future. In addition, this webinar is also a faith-based one, where faith can be used to positively influence the younger generation. This webinar is to bring everyone together and introduce ways to impact the younger latino generation, whilst bringing God into their lives.
Additionally, forging paths for the younger generation is of major concern regarding this webinar. The United States and Latin Countries discuss the different ways to forge these paths for the younger generation to have more opportunities in this life.
Faith-Based Webinar
Unbeknownst to many, faith can certainly have a large impact on many people, young or old. Juan Escarfuller, one of the main moderators of the webinar, mentioned how important this webinar would serve to be for the younger generation.
“Pastoral juvenil is a vision of the kingdom of God. …There are many colors, many voices, many accents. And why do we do this? Precisely because, in part, there is much injustice against those who are different, who possibly do not talk like others. The voices of young Latinos in the United States cry out for the justice of God,” mentions Escarfuller to the Catholic Review.
Not only will this webinar open many more doors for the younger latino community, but it will make them feel heard and understood amidst the chaos that surrounds them on a daily basis.
Forming In-Depth Connections
Not only are these webinars just meetings created to discuss how things have been handled. Instead, the U.S has been listening in to the conferences and meetings that have been taking place in Latin American countries. This is to better understand immigrants and their struggles, and how they can ‘pastorally’ contribute to help them. Essentially, delving into the roots of the struggles they have to endure on a daily basis.
Therefore, the U.S is truly taking into consideration ways in which they can better understand the struggles they endure every day. They also try to figure out ways to better serve and help them. This is becoming more prominent especially due to the large influx of immigrants that are arriving in the U.S.
The Four Stages
This webinar is not just one meeting for the year and that is it. Instead, there are four different webinars that are hosted, that each delve into something different. “The ongoing webinar series is based on four fundamental pillars: the family (March); youth ministry (April), social justice (May) and pastoral formation (June),” according to The Independent News Source. As a result, this gives youth a chance to create friendships, and forge the path they want to walk on.
The Future of This Webinar
This webinar truly is a great way to open the minds of the youth, and give them opportunities to bloom in the future. The fact that there are people that care about the youth, truly is refreshing to many, especially in the surrounding chaos that exists today. There is a hope that others can see that, and can join the webinar to see how they can contribute to the beautiful message that is being displayed.
