Scorching Summer
Most of the U.S has been under scorching temperatures for most of June leading into July. There have already been several heat records that have been broken within the past couple of weeks, and that is truly terrifying to witness.
Additionally, California is currently undergoing a terrible wildfire, that has prompted thousands of people to evacuate certain cities for somewhere safer. Therefore, it is clear that this summer may carry extremely scorching temperatures as it wears on. Therefore, it is imperative to be sure to stay prepared for these extreme temperatures, and to invest in supplies that will help with them.
This Fourth of July
The Fourth of July, a day where most of the U.S is going to be outside with their families, happy for the freedom that they have, is likely going to be taken over by intense heat. “Heat warnings and watches are in place for 110 million people across 21 states for the holiday period, with dangerous and potentially historic extreme heat due for the West in the coming days and temperatures of 115 degrees possible,” according to NBC News.
Therefore, a lot of gatherings are likely going to be postponed, or even cancelled, because of this intense heat.
Where Are the Temperatures Going to be High?
The temperature is likely to be scorching for most of the southern and western U.S. “Heat will ramp up in parts of the West and southern US this week, culminating in temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal in California and Oregon on Thursday and 5 to 10 degrees above normal from Texas and Oklahoma to the Carolinas,” according to CNN News.
Therefore, it is clear that this heat wave is going to be detrimental, and that it is imperative to seek adequate preparation to ensure safety. Additionally, to make matters worse, humidity is going to make it feel even hotter, especially in the southern states.
