Recently, the new despicable me movie has come out in theaters and fans are ecstatic. The movie came out July 3rd 2024, however, just today, July 4th 2024, the movie hit 27 million dollars in box office. It is estimated that it will reach 120 million during the weekend.
The Gru We All Know and Love
As many people know, this is the fourth installment of this family friendly franchise. Many fans were happily waiting to see more of the semi grumpy Gru and the quirky minions back on screen. This sequel will bring many characters we already know such as Gru, minions, his three girls, and wife, but it will also introduce new characters.
This franchise has become synonymous with July 4th, since previous movies also came out during this time of the year. The 2022 prequel, The Rise of Gru which was about Gru when he was still a child hoping to become a great villain, also opened during this time of the year. That movie ended up breaking records after hitting 123 million in the first five days of the premiere.
Minions, Minions, and More Minions
This movie franchise has been loved by many people, and it is hoped that this fourth installment will not be the end. For any people that have not seen this franchise, it is a family friendly movie filled with comedy and fun. Many of the previous movies are available to watch in different platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Paramount etc. The new “Despicable me 4” movie is now available to watch on theaters around the US.
