Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9400 Martin Luther King Boulevard
Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 9400 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 10 p.m. on Saturday (May 23).
The deceased female is identified as Desiree Sanchez-Harvey, 34.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson reported:
A gray Chevrolet Malibu was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound at the above address. The driver lost control and left the roadway striking a concrete bollard, a chain link fence and a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
There were no other vehicles involved in this crash.
