Donald Trump mentioned an increase in jobs, stock market performance, and tax policy to strengthen the economy.
Immigration And Cutting Taxes
Immigration and border security were also spoken on very briefly. Donald Trump expressed stronger enforcement measures, including physical barriers along the southern border. The President said border security is both a public safety and national sovereignty issue. The President urges lawmakers to act on legislation. One of Donald Trump’s key takeaway was cutting taxes and removing rules that would help businesses grow and create more jobs.
Donald Trump also emphasized that keeping these same rules intact would strengthen the U.S. economy. There was mixed emotions from the public, as some were worried that the extra money would not reach everyone fairly and that these changes would create economic struggles in the long run.

Other major key takeaways the President spoke on were about outlining a policy roadmap that is focused on economic growth, border control, and assertive diplomacy. The speech served both as a status report on the current state of the U.S. The key takeaways also highlights priorities that will be spoken on in the next legislative and political debate.
