A Festival of Extremes
There were signs showing that Coachella 2026 was among the most exciting and popular music festivals ever held up to that point. This was due to the fact that it was already 25 years after the first Coachella had been held, thus leaving unforgettable moments and disappointments that reflected the modern music.
It had legendary bands as well as some unfortunate incidences.
The Best: Star Power and Historic Moments
For instance, Karol G made history by being the first Latina to perform in Lolla in what was an outstanding performance that had some surprises and highlighted the great musical heritage of Latin America.
On the other hand, Sabrina Carpenter demonstrated what she was made of during the spectacular performance similar to a Hollywood film described as an audacious one.
Rock and alternative music groups were also not left behind in showcasing their skills. Groups like Geese and Turnstile performed explosively whereas Iggy Pop astonished the crowd with a performance that was theatrical rather than musical.
“With certain performances, you could really sense the change in the atmosphere,” one person attending the concerts stated. “It felt like history was made.”

The Best: Surprise Guests and Genre Diversity
Among many things that made Coachella impressive, what stood out most was something that happened unexpectedly. Great representation of well-known people, stars of all types of music genres, who appeared on the stage unexpectedly was among the highlights. As for the variety of performers, equally good representation was provided by performers belonging to categories such as pop, hip hop, electronic, and rock.
The young performers got enough attention too, while the famous ones only added to their supremacy.
“‘Coachella is a playlist come alive,'” said a music critic.”
The Worst: Divisive Headliners and Low-Energy Sets
However, some of the shows failed to satisfy all of the attendees. For example, Justin Bieber’s show at the Coachella festival was one of the most controversial ones, but not because of his superb performance on stage. Bieber delivered a very emotional performance, which led to mixed feelings from the crowd; some loved the emotion in his performance, while others found it rather boring.
In addition, Bieber’s simplicity of performance seemed out of place among the greatest stars of the Coachella festival, according to some people.
“He was personal, maybe too personal for that stage.”
The Worst: Technical Issues and Scheduling Conflicts
Apart from the performances themselves, logistical problems emerged which made the crowds unhappy with the concerts. There were cases where the concerts suffered from sound leakage, and there were instances where people missed their favorite acts because of problems with scheduling.
Some of the acts encountered technical problems during their performance while other artists experienced problems on the stage. This has all happened despite the good performances delivered by the majority of the artists.
“It was certainly not as curated as expected,” says one concert attendee.
The Verdict: A Bold but Uneven Showcase
Of course, Coachella 2026 was everything that could be expected from Coachella, including both its successes and flaws.
The successes helped establish Coachella’s image as an impressive cultural event, whereas the flaws showed the risks associated with hosting events of such scale.
This festival offered many memorable moments and aroused intense emotions due to the great number of concerts performed during Coachella.
As one of the festival’s fans once put it, “Coachella is never perfect; but when it works, there is nothing like it.”
