Unexpected Leaving of Husband Raises Questions
It came into knowledge that the husband of a Michigan woman, whose whereabouts are unknown since her disappearance during a cruise off the coast of Bahamas, has himself departed from the island state. The woman went missing from the boat she was cruising on without disclosing details of the incident. Since then, a search has been going on.
Although the man was questioned by the police regarding the disappearance of his wife, he has not been charged with any crime as he was free to leave the country. According to the husband’s attorney, he fully cooperated with the investigating authority.
“Husband of this woman cooperated with the investigating authority. He answered all their questions and did everything that was required of him at this point,” stated the lawyer. “He can go wherever he wants now.”
Search Operations Underway
A search for the missing woman is underway in Bahamas. Rescue team members are working round the clock, searching the ocean waters and neighboring islands in the hope of finding something.
So far, nothing has been discovered.
“We are doing our best to locate her,” a representative from the local police force stated. “The search is still continuing.”
Family members have not been silent about their appeals, voicing feelings of both hope and frustration due to lack of answers.

The couple was on a vacation cruise in the Bahamas and that was the last time anyone saw the woman before her disappearance. Little is known about what happened during those crucial hours before she disappeared.
The police have interviewed multiple witnesses associated with the event and analyzed the evidence at hand, including communication and vessel records.
“This case is complicated,” a police detective commented. “We need to look into all possibilities.”
Legal Aspect and Community Response
While the husband’s return to his home country is viewed in different ways, the husband’s legal advisors claim that he did not do anything wrong and therefore can legally travel outside the Bahamas.
Legal analysts state that with no charges filed yet against him, there are virtually no means to stop his departure.
“The man is completely legal here,” one lawyer specializing in criminal defense stated. “However, in people’s eyes he may appear suspicious.”
