Trump Warns Iran

President Donald Trump has issued increasingly stark warnings to Iran, threatening unprecedented military force if Tehran continues to retaliate amid a rapidly escalating conflict that has engulfed the Middle East. “As the war in the Middle East spirals further, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the U.S. has “the capability to go far longer” than its projected four-to-five-week time frame for its military operations against Iran,” according to AP News.

In a series of public comments and interviews on March 2, 2026, Trump made plain that the U.S. military campaign, known as Operation Epic Fury, is far from over. He told CNN that the initial strikes were only the beginning, warning that “the big one is coming soon” and signaling that even heavier bombardments against Iranian military capabilities lie ahead.

Joint Operations

This tough stance came as the U.S. and Israel continued joint operations targeting Iranian strategic assets, including command facilities, missiles, and warships.

In an unusually explicit message issued on social media, Trump warned Tehran that any further retaliation would be met with force “that has never been seen before,” emphasizing the serious consequences he believes Iran would face if it escalates aggressive actions against American forces or allies in the region. “Israel and Hezbollah are trading blows as the conflict widens, while explosions have been heard in Gulf cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha,” according to CNN News.

Additional Casualties

The president’s warnings also came alongside grim acknowledgments that U.S. forces may suffer additional casualties as the conflict unfolds. Trump mourned fallen service members and told Americans that more deaths were “likely” before the end of the campaign, remarks that underscored the human costs of military escalation.

By openly threatening larger strikes and suggesting that the “big wave” of attacks is yet to come, he sought to signal to Tehran and regional actors that Washington intends to maintain pressure, even as officials maintain that the operations differ from previous prolonged conflicts.
