Yellowstone’s Universe Throws Fans Right Back into Chaos
Even though fans thought that Yellowstone would give Beth and Rip a break, it was never meant to be because Dutton Ranch was around to shatter their hopes and plunge them right back into chaos.
Not even the first-ever episode of the spin-off wasted any time in letting everyone know that life is not easy in Taylor Sheridan’s television universe:
No one ever escapes from the repercussions for long.
By the end of the episode, one thing was made abundantly clear to viewers:
“Dangers will always chase them down.”
The fans are already going haywire on social media.
Beth and Rip’s “Happy Ending” Was Not Meant To Be
Many viewers saw the relationship between Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as the most interesting part of Yellowstone. Their love for each other and loyalty to one another amidst all the violence and chaos and sadness.
Viewers looked forward to the season bringing a bit of happiness and peace to the couple despite everything.
However, the series starts on the Dutton ranch and leaves all the viewers’ expectations in pieces.
They immediately find themselves amidst all the tension and drama and know that they cannot escape their past wrongdoings.
To be frank, this should not have come as a shock.

Right from the start, social media platforms were flooded with responses of people about the episode.
People were tweeting, posting on Reddit, and creating videos on TikTok about Beth and Rip’s story in all its facets, ranging from despair to total fatigue.

It is for this very reason that people are emotionally attached to these characters.

The one element that stands out for this couple is their unconventional way of writing about romance on TV.
First of all, Beth and Rip have a tendency to be loving and destructive at the same time. Every love scene was followed by murder, revenge, and psychological crises.

The first episode of the show has certainly not brought about any form of resolution. Rather, the fight between Beth and Rip goes on.

It is the new theme that has become firmly established within the fan base—danger will always follow them—and perfectly captures the emotional thesis of the first episode.
Beth and Rip were never meant to lead lives filled with leisure time. They were made by violence, by loyalty, by generations of heartbreak and trauma, and by the drive for survival.

The Yellowstone Universe Has No Intention of Halting Its Run
Yellowstone brought a new world of cowboys and cattle ranchers to the screen, creating a television universe in its own right, with spin-offs, prequels, and many other types of franchise expansion pulling viewers into the depths of drama and conflict.
However, Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are unique cases within the Yellowstone fandom.
They are unpredictable, cruel, loyal, hurt, and strangely in love, making it nearly impossible for viewers to look away from them.
That was exactly why the season premiere gained so much traction on the internet.
Fans Can Take More Pain
Maybe one of the most significant lessons learned from this episode of The Walking Dead is that:
The fans do not expect these characters to be happy anymore.
They only expect them to survive.
And maybe this is where it all boils down to.
Beth and Rip were expected to overcome everything that stood in their way, to flourish during difficult times. To deprive them of that would be to strip them of their uniqueness.
It does not mean that their current troubles will get any easier because of that, however.
Premiere – Message in One!
Before even the credits were shown, Dutton Ranch had managed to achieve its purpose of making viewers fall back into their own emotional turmoil.
It wasn’t only about Beth and Rip’s story, but rather their emotional turmoil that will make fans fall in love with them all over again.
And going by the first episode alone, fans can expect more.
As it is known, in this universe, there can never be peace for long.
